Fitokan is a medical‑cannabis clinic network in Poland that offers consultations and prescriptions for medical cannabis (THC, CBD, CBG) tailored to individual patients’ health conditions and therapeutic needs. The clinic brings together physicians from various specialities — including neurology, psychiatry, oncology and general/internal medicine — to deliver personalised cannabinoid‑based treatment plans.

Service

Fitokan provides specialist medical consultations to evaluate suitability for therapy with medical cannabis. After review of medical history and documentation, physicians recommend and prescribe appropriate cannabis-based medications, and issue an electronic prescription (e‑recepta).
Fitokan collaborates with legal, authorised suppliers of medical cannabis — including suppliers such as Four 20 Pharma, Tilray Portugal, Aurora Deutschland and Spectrum Therapeutics — to ensure patients have access to a range of medicinal cannabis products available in pharmacies.
The clinic serves a wide array of medical areas as listed on its site: neurology, rheumatology / dermatology / autoimmunity, gastroenterology and other internal diseases, psychiatry, oncology, as well as pain conditions.

Safety

Treatments are conducted under the supervision of licensed medical doctors. Fitokan’s team includes neurologists, psychiatrists, oncologists and general practitioners, enabling assessment and prescription by qualified specialists.
The process involves analysis of the patient’s medical documentation and health history before therapy is prescribed.
Patients receive guidance, prescriptions, and a medical certificate for the cannabis therapy; the clinic maintains contact with the patient during therapy to offer continuous support.

Care pathway

  1. A patient begins by booking an initial visit via a contact form or by phone.
  2. At the first visit, documentation is reviewed and the physician assesses whether medical cannabis therapy is appropriate.
  3. If indicated, the physician issues an electronic prescription for medical cannabis.
  4. The patient can then obtain the prescribed medical cannabis at a pharmacy. Fitokan supports selection of the appropriate medicinal cannabis strains, drawing on a broad catalogue provided by partner suppliers.
  5. Ongoing support and follow‑up are offered: patients stay in contact with the treating physician for management of therapy.
